PHA 5731 – The Pendulum of Controlled Substances

Description

This course will explore in detail emerging issues related to the regulation of controlled substances at the federal and state level.

Topics covered will include prescription drug abuse, prescription drug monitoring programs, pharmacy/pharmacist liability, and federal and state administrative actions surrounding controlled substances. In addition to class lectures and discussions, students will participate in active learning exercises allowing them to become more familiar with policy development involving controlled substances.
